This sketchbook page is highlighted because it shows how I like simple things and expresses my desire for writing poems. I used a blue pen, and purple watercolor. The page is simply meant to express my opinion about art. While my other pages are only swirls of colors, this page is very simple and allowed me to place a poem to magnify its simplicity. I write poems daily, and it allowed me to show the part of me which is most creative. This page communicates my appreciation for art, and hopefully says that I try to stay simple in matters.
I chose to highlight this page to show my passion for writing poems and my ideals on friendship. I used watercolors, color pencils, and a pen. My page is about two friends and their interactions with one another. While I enjoyed making my other pages, this page popped out to me because I was able to incorporate something I love to do with something I observed. I hope that this page communicates the close friendship that the two friends I've written about has. I feel that people would see the friendship that the two people have through the poem, and also how their personalities are bright because of the background. While using only a single watercolor and a pen to make my first published page, I feel that this page shows a lot more color and change.
